Instead, illness and poor health are generally the natural consequences of living in a fallen world (Gen. 2:17; Job 1–2, 42; Rom. 5:12–21). Accepting the truth of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and living an obedient faith produces a spiritual healing that reduces much of the behavior that can cause illness and even an early death.
